Dear Colleagues,

SDCCE faculty, classified professionals, administrators, and students participated in a webinar to learn about programs and services offered by the Union of Pan Asian Communities and to be in conversation about Asian American and Pacific Islander wellness.

Classified Appreciation Week continues with support and recognition for classified professionals and the 3rd annual People’s Choice Awards, led by the Classified Senate. Career and College Transitions held a series of resume and interview workshops and coordinated a virtual employer spotlight for students looking for available jobs in various industries.

I recently participated in a podcast: Leading Forward, sponsored by the California Collaborative for Educational Excellence in partnership with educators and experts working together to make education better for all students.

The Danna Foundation has pledged a gift of $100,000 to the SDCCE Foundation, to support the Rising To Success Pathways learning community serving homeless students. Last week I shared the event information about Emeritus faculty Helena Wei's concert to support Asian American Heritage Month. Today I share the RECORDING of the concert, which had more than 200 participants.

Have a wonderful weekend. Please stay safe!
