I arrived in the United States some years ago and after much hard work, I knew that I needed to study in order to go forward with my life.

I looked on the Internet and found San Diego Continuing Education. I liked the different classes that they offered. I was especially interested in the Home Daycare class because I had a 3 years old son. I was looking for a class that allowed me to study and care for my son at the same time.

I remember the first day in the class. I was a little scared because I didn’t speak English very well but the teacher, Miss Marina, helped me all the time. With her help and patience, I was able to go forward and finish the class. I also took the “Families Learning Together” class with her. The next class I took was with Miss Rita. The “Discovering Me” class was similar but the children were 1-2 years old. I also took “12-23 Months Old Walking and Talking” class emphasizing sign language for babies with Miss Kristy.

All of these classes were wonderful for me because I realized I liked helping children and I could become an assistant teacher or teacher in a preschool.

Now I am ready for college. I plan to become a certified preschool teacher.

I want to say thank you to Miss Marina, Rita, and Kristy for all their help and patience. You made this possible for me.
