As a reminder, ongoing town hall meetings are being held to help SDCE identify actionable agenda items and steps we can take as an organization to move toward greater understanding, connection, and compassion and provide equity for SDCE students. Thank you to those who have been participating. I encourage all to join the next meeting, The Community Voice: Courageous Conversations about Education on August 12, 2020, at noon. You may RSVP to SDCEinFocus@sdccd.edu
The third of four powerful professional development readings is attached. I encourage you to read Racism, College, and the Power of Words: Racial Microaggressions Reconsidered by Julie Minikel-Lacocque.
