Salary information is based on hourly, monthly, or annual estimates from the State of California Employment Development Department.

240 hours. Complete in 24 weeks. Provides students with the knowledge and skills required to install, operate and troubleshoot a small enterprise branch network, including basic network security. Covers networking fundamentals, LAN/WAN technologies, basic security and wireless concepts, routing and switching fundamentals, and configuring simple networks.

Topics include network theory and design, IP addressing, network hardware and cabling, including router set up and troubleshooting.

Students who successfully complete the program can use the skills learned in a variety of industries and jobs including network and computer systems administrator, computer network support specialist, and computer user support specialist. Also serves as a foundation for the full CCNA Program and prepares students for the CCENT Certification. Note: Industry professionals recommend students complete the full CCNA program which includes four courses.

Requires completion of two courses: COMP 600 Introduction to Networking (CCNA1) COMP 601 Introduction to Router Configuration (CCNA2)
