Joan teaches Fashion Entrepreneurship classes empowering students with the sewing and computer related skills necessary in order to be successful in a sewn product business. An innovative fashion educator and industry expert, Joan provides creativity with practicality.

Classes encompass: Sewn Product Business, Patternmaking (Flat, Draping, Computerized Custom Patternmaking, Collections), Sewing Fundamentals I and II, Sewing like a Professional, Tailoring, and Computerized Machine Embroidery. Just about anything you want to do to Make Money with your Sewing Skills.

Joan has been teaching here for over 20 years. She teaches with Holistic Constructivist Methods. These methods are very bottom up. She embraces the diversity, skills and knowledge you bring to class. She empowers you to teach your fellow students. We are all ready to learn anything that will help us reach our personal goals. Come to class and add to your knowledge base.
