Marilyn has been a part of the San Diego Community College District since 1985. She became Associate Professor in 2006. She is chair of the Continuing Education’s “Los Dos Chefs” scholarship fundraisers for students in need. She is also the advisor to the U.S. Navy “Campus Afloat” Cooking Program and arranges International field trips to Mexico for “Culinary & Cultural Experience”. Marilyn self published the book Healthy Cookbook, which has been featured in cover stories for the San Diego Union Tribune. She was a recipient of the SDCE Teacher of the Year award. What she considers to be the best part of teaching is helping people with health issues through proper nutrition.
