Mary Beauparlant

Mary Beauparlant has been successfully teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) for more than 30 years. She first taught ESL at the Mid-City Campus. After that she taught at Cesar Chavez, which was then called Harbor View. Currently she is the ESL Instructional Leader and an ESL instructor at the Educational Cultural Complex.

One of the highlights of her career was in l996 when she had the privilege of being the District’s lone ESL instructor as part of the Educators Exchange Program (EEP) in Celaya, Guanajuato, Mexico. One of the main objectives of the EEP was to send Mary to train Mexican instructors in the current ESL techniques and methodologies.
