The Disability Support Programs and Services (DSPS) mission is to offer a variety of classes and services designed to facilitate the success of students with disabilities in reaching their educational, personal, and vocational goals. Support services and assistive technology are available so students can participate as fully as possible in classes and programs. In addition to the classes in this section, accommodations can be provided for any eligible student who has a verified disability. If you have a disability and you need support services, contact a DSPS counselor. Provision of accommodations may take up to one month so contact a counselor as soon as possible to request assistance.
In an effort to slow the spread of coronavirus for the health and safety of our community DSPS services and classes will be completely online for the fall 2020 semester.
First-time students must apply to SDCE and then make an intake appointment with a counselor as well as attend any mandatory orientations for their specific certificate program if applicable.
For general inquires or to make an appointment with a counselor please email SDCEDSPS@sdccd.edu or call 619-388-4812 and leave a voice mail. A DSPS classified professional will get back to you shortly.
Counselors, resource instructors, assistive technology, and our learning disability services are available remotely via zoom, phone, and email.
Regular updates to our program can be found on our DSPS Facebook page.
