Vocational English as a Second Language (VESL)

Prepares non-native speakers of English to enter vocational programs or entry-level jobs. Emphasis on work-related oral and written communication skills, and basic computer skills.

During the first part of class you develop listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. During the second part of class you focus on individual vocational programs (Certified Nurse Assistant, Business Information Technology, Food Service, Home Daycare, Retailing, Auto Mechanics, and Cosmetology) and/or reading development, grammar, and pronunciation.
