Biography:
For the past 25 years, Susan has taught ESL, with 10 years spent as an ESL Department Chair. She has also taught at San Diego State University and San Diego City College. She has taught ESL for the Workplace, ESL and Computers, Vocational ESL and all GED courses. For the past 20 years, she has been teaching Academic ESL and ESL Pronunciation and Conversation.

Her teaching philosophy is to try to help students obtain the highest level of English possible so that they can transform their lives in ways that are meaningful to them. Over the years, she has repeatedly seen how a solid foundation in both speaking and writing English has given students better job opportunities, more self-confidence and higher educational choices for them and their families.
